How to Clear Notification of Metro Apps at Logoff in Windows 8

Introduction

Microsoft has launched Windows 8 that which includes many new features and many changes. The Windows 8 Metro start screen is a new feature that is a collection of Metro applications. From the Start Screen of Windows 8 you can access many types of Metro applications such as Messaging, Weather, People, Store. Sometimes you want to clear the notification of Metro applications due to this you may feel disturbed and you want to remove the notification cache.

In this article we are going to explain how to clear the notification of Metro applications at logoff in Windows 8. Clearing notification of Metro applications can be helpfull if the history of a Metro application is not desirable for security and the user's privacy then you can delete it.  To do that you have to change the settings for the Metro application using the Local group policy Editor. After changing the setting notification the Metro application will be automatically cleared when you exit from the application.

How to clear Metro Apps notification at logoff.

Step 1

Move the cursor at the bottom-right and select "Search".

In the Search Box type "GPEDIT.MSC" and click on the application that is shown.

Step 3

The "Local Group Policy Editor" window will be opened; in this window click on "User Configuration".

Step 4

In this step go to "Administrative Template > Start Menu task bar ".

Step 5

In this step double-click on "Clear history of tile Notification on exit" or click on "Policy Setting".

Step 6

An new window will be opened in that window select "Enable" and click on "OK" to save the setting.

Now Restart your computer to apply this setting.
