Choose Search Provider in Windows 8 Internet Explorer 10

Window 8 is released now and it comes with many new feautres and an awesome UI. The new version of Internet Explorer is also in the market. In the previous version of Internet Explorer you can change the default search engine provider easily from the settings option.

But in Windows 8 Microsoft has hidden the option for changing the default search provider in the new version of Internet Explorer10. So, here we learn how to change the search provider in Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 8.

The default search engine provider in Internet Explorer 10 is Bing.

Here are the steps to be followed.

Step 1

Open the Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 8.

Step 2

Click the menu at the top-right corner of the Internet Explorer window and select Manage add-ons.

Step 3

Select the Search Providers option in the Manage Add-ons window and click the Find more search providers link at the bottom of the window.

Step 4

Select Google, listed on the page, to set it as the default search engine.

Step 5

Click on the Add to Internet Button.

Select the CheckBox Make this my default search provider and click on the Add button.

Now you have set Google as the default search engine for Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 8.

Reopen Internet Explorer after closing it. Now, you will see that your default engine search engine is Google instead of Bing.
