Microsoft Offers $100 Off Discount For Users Abandoning Windows XP

Microsoft offers new trade-in scheme as the end of Windows XP support, on April 8, approaches.

It seems that Microsoft is really encouraging folks to stop using Windows XP, that is why the company launched a new scheme that shaves $100 from the price of your new PC that costs more than $599.

According to Microsoft, the promotion runs through June 15th, 2014, but as the quantities are limited the company runs out of selected systems, the sale will end early. Buyers will also get 90 days of free premium support for their new devices from Microsoft.

Selected new systems that fall above the $599 price tag are the Surface Pro 2, Lenovo ThinkPad YOGA, Dell XPS 12, Acer Aspire V7, ASUS’s Zenbook, and Lenovo’s IdeaPad YOGA series.

The deal is going on in select Microsoft Store retail locations in the US and Canada. People can prefer in-person service or can visit the Microsoft Store website.
