Google Glass Timeline

Timeline is the main user interface for Google Glass. It allows the use of Glass through static and live cards, voice commands and to launch other glassware. The Timeline is a scrollable interface with past, present and future cards.
The Timeline is organized into the following sections:

Settings <- Present/Future Cards <- HOME -> Past Cards

1. Home Screen

This is the default card and has a digital clock at its center. It provides access to all the functionality of Glass through various touch and voice commands. This card gives access to all the immersion type glassware by saying the “ok glass” command. We can also access these cards by touch controls.

2. Present & Future Cards

These cards are present on the left of the home screen and can be comprised of both static and live cards. These cards provide information of an event that is happening right now or may happen in the future like a static card that gives information about a future event.

3. Past Cards

 These cards are on the right of the home screen and are in chronological order, the latest cards being nearest to the home screen. These cards are all static cards. Cards are removed if they are older than 7 days or the 200 card limit is reached.

4. Settings Bundle

 This bundle is at the left most end of the timeline, here the user can access and configure Glass settings like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, volume and so on.

The following describes the types of cards and other options.

Live Cards

These cards provide real time content and are always shown on the left of the home screen. Live cards update frequently and show custom graphics for user interaction. Live cards have access to low-level hardware sensors like GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope and so on. Live cards are started from the Home Screen and always must contain a menu option to stop/remove the card.
