Issue Tracking in SharePoint 2010

Introduction

Today, in this article let's play around with one of the interesting and most useful concepts in SharePoint 2010.


Question:
 What is Issue Tracking?

In simple terms "It enables raising of specific issues that have been raised during project development or any other activity".


I think we are now good to go and implement this wonderful concept.


Step 1:
Open SharePoint 2010 Central Administration and navigate to a specific site:

Step 2: Select "Issue Tracking" from the listed categories. Give a name to the issue tracking:

Step 3: The Issue Tracking is now created. The site now looks like this:

Step 4: Adding a new issue:

Step 5: The issue is now created. The site now looks like this:
