Generate System Health Report in Windows 8

Introduction

In this article we are going to explain how to generate a system health report in Windows 8. The system health report is a great feature of Windows that will help you to determine potential problems of your computer and point you in the right direction for resolution. The system health report was first introduced with Windows Vista. The system health report provide detailed information about computer performance, use of resources, network connections and diagnostic infractions about things that are not working with resoltion suggestions.

The system health report presents the status of the local hardware resources, system response times and local computer processes along with system information and configuration data. This report includes suggestions for maximizing performance and to streamline system operations.

How to generate a system health report in Windows 8.

Step 1

Go in the search box and type "run" or press "Win key + R".

In the Run window, type "perfmon /report" and press the "Enter" button.

Step 3

The "Resource and Performance monitor" window will be opened and it will begin collecting data about your system status.

Step 4

After collecting the data, the performance monitor will show all system reports. In this window a green icon presents the running services and a red icon presents those that have failed.

If you want to save any report then go to the file menu and click on "Save as".

Now open the saved report; it will show the report as in the following:
