  • Bootstrap is a kind of free front-end framework with the help of which, developers can develop websites more quickly and easily.
  • Bootstrap provides privileges for developers to use HTML and CSS-based design templates to create typography, buttons, forms, tables, modals, image console, navigation and many others, also some optional JavaScript plugins.
  • Bootstrap allows developers to create responsive web designs.

History of Bootstrap

Bootstrap was originally developed for Twitter by Mark Otto and Jacob Thornton. In the early days, Bootstrap was called Twitter Blueprint and was used as a framework to encourage consistency across internal tools. In August 2011, Bootstrap was released as an open source product on GitHub.

There are two ways to use Bootstrap -

  • Include Bootstrap from a CDN (Content Delivery Network)
Downloading Bootstrap

Anyone can download Bootstrap by following the below steps.
 
Step 1

First, open getbootstrap.com in your browser.

Once this webpage is loaded, click on "Download Bootstrap" button, as shown below.

Once you click on this, you will get three options there i.e. Download Bootstrap, Download Source, and Download Sass. Now, click on "Download Bootstrap".

By clicking on this option, user can download latest Bootstrap HTML and JavaScript source codes. Now, further, let us have a quick view on another way to get Bootstrap below.

Let us make our first webpage with Bootstrap and start with “Hello World” display in our browser.
 
Step 1

First, we will open any code editor platform and create a new HTML file and save this file name with “hello.html”. Here, I have used “Sublime Text 3”.
