building a website creator

Question

Hey guys,
I have been toying around with the idea of writing a website creation program geared to novice computer users. I have googled it and I can't find anything helpful in regards to how to structure the program or writing code generation. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

I suspect it's tricky (if you are trying to write the equivalent of Front Page for example). If you are going one way (web creation --> html). You would need to design the equivalent of a browser editor. If you were just doing text (bold, italic, font, color, etc.), you might be able to get away with the equivalent of a richtext edit control. Then you can go through character by character and generate the html tags according to styles in the control. Once you add tables, images, stylesheets, etc. Now your talking the equivalent of a case tool. There are some third party components that have HTML Editors. (I believe SyncFusion is one of them). This will probably make the task much easier.
