how to escape implement abstract methods in child class

Question

I have small doubt can i escape from implementing abstract methods of abstract class.

i have a abstract class A.This class contain 4 abstract methods.

class B is derived from A. then B class should give implementation of all the abstract methods of A or not.

if there is any possibility to escape from implementing those methods. please tell me how to do that.

An interface only defines method signatures by definition. It has nothing to do with implementation of those methods. It is comparable to a blueprint. It only defines what needs to be built.

i have another doubt is that why interface doesnt contain implementation of its members. i know that c# do not support multiple class inheritance because of that interface came into existance.what is reason behind it dont have implementation of its members.

i can call that methods from a class which is derived from child abstact class. abstract class A { public abstract int add(); public abstract int mul(); } abstract class B:A { public override int add() { return 5+9; } //here i am escaping implement method og mul } //for implementing mul() i am going to create another class which is inherited from classs B class C:B { //here i will implement. and i can also create instance for this class. } if anything wrong please tell me.....

Ah. I thought you needed an instance of your child class. If you don't need that then yes.

if i run application with out creating instance for child class also it gives me error message that you are not implemented parent class abstract members.

You can only escape implementation if you are not calling the methods.
