Chart Visualization in Excel 2013

In Excel 2013 there is the facility to create a more attractive chart using the more attractive user interface available for chart formatting. In it we are provided with a new analysis tool which would help us to quickly analyze the data by clicking on the Mouse button. We can change the title of the chart, layouts and we can also apply formatting, spark lines on the chart with a single mouse button click. It helps in quickly previewing our chart by using the recommended chart option.

Let's have a look at the following steps.

Step 1

First go to Excel 2013.

Step 2

Now select the blank workbook templates from the available templates.

Now write some data in the sheet like this of which we want to make the charts.

Now click on the Insert menu option.

Now if want to see the charts recommended by the Excel 2013 which will illustrate our chart data's pattern then we will click the Recommended Charts option.

Now a change chart type dialog box will appear like this:

We can change the type of chart by selecting any chart type showing in the diagram given below.

A chart will be created like this:

Now if we want to apply formatting to our chart then click on the chart and three buttons will appear just aside it like this:

Step 10

When we will click on the first button .i.e. the chart elements button it will ask for which element we want to show on the chart whether it is Gridlines, Data Table or axes etc.

Step 11

When we will click on the second button .i.e. style button it will ask whether we are changing the style of the chart or changing the color of the chart like this:

When we will click on the third button it will ask for changing the value of the chart data like this:

Finally our chart will appear like this:
