In Microsoft Windows 10, File Explorer keeps a list of file and folders, which you have recently opened. While some new features like this help to quickly access the recent files, some may not like this feature, so you have to clear the recent files section from File Explorer in Windows 10.
 
For how to remove the recent file history from File Explorer, follow the steps, given below-
 
Step 1. Open File Explorer.

Step 2. Click the file menu in File Explorer, choose the change folder and search options.

Step 3. After clicking the change folder and search options, folder options and dialogue box will open. Click the clear button to quickly remove your File Explorer history and click OK button to return the File Explorer.
