I remember when I built the very first version of C# Corner in 1999
in FrontPage. I was writing my HTML and ASP pages using FrontPage. This is how
C# Corner home page looked like back in Jan 2000.
Then ASP.NET and Visual Web Developer tool were introduced
by Microsoft. Since then, I have never really looked for another IDE. Visual
Studio till now has been good to me. But now things are changing fast. More and
more I look outside of Microsoft, there are many more useful tools that are
free are out there specially for HTML 5 and CSS 3.
I just received Murach's HTML 5 and CSS 3 book written by
Zak Ruvalcaba and Anne Boehm. I was reading the book and first thing I noticed
was Aptana Studio 3. I searched for this tool and found it very interesting. It
is an open source IDE and really easy to use.
Aptana Studio 3
is an open source development tool to develop and test your entire web
application using a single environment. It provides support for the latest
browser technology specs such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Ruby, Rails, PHP and
Python.
