I often being asked these questions and to be honest, no one
knows the answer where technology is going. Do you remember Silverlight? Few
years back, Silverlight was one of the hottest technologies for building flash like websites. As a matter of fact, big companies like Netflix built their entire website in Silverlight. We (including
myself) were betting big on Silverlight and where is it today? It's all gone.
Software developers and programmers have a mindset of
consuming more and more technical and programming related information but we
miss the big picture. We don't focus on hardware and industry news. We don't
understand that, hardware is the one that creates and drives need of a new
software. If we start focusing on hardware, we can see a clear picture where
the software future is headed to.
If you have seen recent trends in hardware technology, mobile
and touch devices are taking over the world. PCs are dead. Cloud is today and
possibly tomorrow.
So what will be the future of software?
Simple. Building mobile and touch devices enabled
applications.
That are apps. Cloud based services and products.
Now what software we need to build apps and cloud based
services and products? You do the math.
See our goal on C# Corner is simple. We want to build strong
and independent thinking developer and leaders.
This is why on C#
Corner, our focus is news. We had launched the News section a while ago but recently,
we have taken it to the next stage. We are trying to curate more and more news
each day. So, to know the future of software, check out daily News and keep an eye on
latest trends in the hardware and software industry.
