hi jane, We are using Web.Config Files to Save our Default Settings and Information . So, Using this We Can Able to Reset our Application to Default one at a any time. You can also Change the Settings in Web.Config file while you running your application. you don't need to Stop your Application Execution. Multiple configuration files (Web.config), if placed in multiple directories on an ASP.NET Web application server, applies configuration settings to its own directory and all child directories below it. Configuration files (Web.config) in child directories can supply configuration information in addition to that inherited from parent directories, and the child directory configuration settings can override or modify settings defined in parent directories. The root configuration file named machine.config located in the directory systemroot\Microsoft.NET\Framework\versionNumber\CONFIG\ provides ASP.NET configuration settings for the entire Web server.
