How can i access client side controls from code behind without adding tag runat=server

No if you want only the value from the hidden field during postbacks. This works fine: Aspx: (You can add this control to the dom also in the client side by javascript) Code behind: string valueOfTheHiddenField = this.Request.Form.Get( n_test ); Thanks and Regards omkar.
