Adding webreference in a application

Dear friends This is the first question I am posting in this web site.. hope I will get the answer. I just wanted to know the difference in adding a webrefence to an application. between http://www.localhost/Samplewebservice/Samplewebservice.asmx and http://www.localhost/Samplewebservice/Samplewebservice.asmx?wsdl Thanks in advance Ram.

the first url is actually used to add and use the webservice. the second one just describes the methods and variables in that webservice. Thanks Lisa

the diference is that in the second case you request the WSDL ( Web Service Description Language) it is used to describe interfaces members and methods used in this web service
