Ajax calendar extender and text box

I am using an ajax calendar extender and text box I want to save the records into database in that am getting one error that is string was not recognized as a valid date time how can i resolve this problem. please help me......

use Convert.ToDateTime method for converting a string date time to actual date time before saving..
