Alternate to java applet

Question

Hi Can anyone have idea to have web based solution instead of java applets in Microsoft .Net platform? I dont want to use java applet and it should support the refreshing of a small application running on a web page without refreshing the whole page (as it is possible for applets).

if you want tou can use a Service Web and the Web Service Behavior. That allow you to call a web service from a web page with Java script code. In this way you can just modify a peace of your page without refresh it. It's easy to use and really efficient. Look at the MSDN documentation on Web Service behavior and Using the web service behavior if you want to see example. Pete

well we dont have anything equivalent for a java applet. Actually you can invoke a .net exewinform etc from the web page BUT we need .net on client side. So if you have .net on client side then no probs....else wait till all browsers start supporting .net (hope to in the future)
