Application in USB dongle

Hi i have a windows application where i have to run a application on a CD where i may have these CD copies on others which i want to avoid i came up with a idea of running the application on a dongle can some one help me out how to run an application on a dongle and how is this dongle be made any suggestions and ideas are appreciated Thanks for looking to my problem

My client is asking the application on CD and exe only where we are giving only five cds But at my clients place there are 250 systems and he is not wanting to give us the mac ids too so i thought one dongle to one cd where he need to plug in to a system to run the exe else i have a fear of the cds getting copied Any alternative to this solution

Dongle is a bad way to build an applications. Not too many people like to use an external hardware these days. Why don't you use a product key approach. If you are concerned about people copying the key you can build a one-activation-one-time-only approach.
