Beginner question. Memory usage.

Question

Hi,

I'm new to programming and i nodest that a wpf app uses more memory than winforms. (found it here: task manager/processes) 

What does that mean? 

Is this something bad if i want to create a program that constantly runs in the background?

Should i worry about this? Does it slow my pc down?
