Binding a CSV to a DataSet

Question

I want to pull data from a CSV (comma seperated value) file into a DataSet. Does anyone know of existing methods to do that so I don't have to write my own class to accomplish it. -James

I think parsing into the vanilla xml file is defintely the way to go gives you more flexiblity and shouldn't take long at all.

Well you can create a DSN programmatically but not the mappings. So the answer is yes. You have to setup CSV mappings manually. ================= Okay so if I use ODBC do I still have to setup all of the mappings manually? -James

Well in the case of delimited files it's pretty hands off once you create the DSN (which you can do programatically too). I might be worth just taking a little time and parsing the data into a plain vanilla xml file and use the native binding available for xml within .net.
