64Bit Recordsets

Question

Is there a 64bit ADO Recordset? Is so can you refer me to a web link with information. Are there any issues I need to know or be concern about using a 64bit recordset? We are migrating from VB 6.0 32bit recordset to a 64bit recordset in C sharp

Just found another link which suggests that 64-bit support may go back to ADO 2.7: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms676506%28v=vs.85%29.asp x Curiously there's no mention of ADO 6.1 though I have managed to find the dll for it now on my machine. It's in this folder along with earlier versions of ADO: c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\System\ado As mine is a 64-bit system I assume I must have the 64 bit version of the dll.

It's many years since I last used ADO RecordSets and so I wasn't expecting there to be a 64 bit version. However a quick google revealed that the latest version 6.1 (msado15.dll) which is supposed to come pre-installed with Windows 7 does have a 64-bit version. I couldn't actually find it on my Windows 7 system and possibly it's on the installation media but not installed by default.
