B.tech final year project (Speech Recognition software)

Respected Intellectuals i m preparing my final year project which is basically a speech recognition software which will take input from user through voice and convert it into text he doesn't have to type for it.The problem that i m facing is please tell me how to compare two .WAV files and display the percentage of similarities between them.For example the module should display 50% similarity or 70% similarity between the two WAV files and so on. Please guide me I need it desperately.

Respected Mahesh sir the logic behind my project is that first i will create a database/filesystem which would contain all small size audio files containing the words spoken in english language through dictionary the file will be named according to it content then the program will ask input from user after that it will compare that input through the database the file which shows the maximum similarity will be displayed..

I am not sure how to compare two wav files but you will see list of articles and tutorials related to TTS and SR in the right side of this post. Can you explain why do you want to compare two wav files? I have not heard of anything like this before and trying to understand what exactly are you trying to do.
