Question

(trying to make my exe run on another machine that doesnt have .netframework)

Hi can some lead me in the right direction to allowing my exe or software to run on another machine that doesnt have ,.netframework on there machine.

ok  I fix the right database problem for some reason when I did a setup and deploy  I guess remove from my location I had back up copies and i just replace it back in its path. Ok I use the setup deploy project but i still get the error saying that A network - related or instance-specific error occured while establishing a connection to the Sql server. The server was not found or was not acessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and the Sql server is configured to allow remote connections. ( provider: SQL network interfaces error:26 - error locating Server / Instance Specified). I really need help with this?

Okay well getting the right database is a more specific problem. You should provide clarificatio of that problem either here or in a new thread.

Exactly im letting visual studiio do it for me For some reason when i run my exe it keeps saying that im not pointing to the right database but i thought if you use the install package it will place everything for you

Creating a setup can be very complicated and a lot of work. If you use Visual Studio to do it for you it will probably be easier to do than posting a lot of questions in this forum. If you create a msi database youself expect to spend more than a month learning about msi. I say a month because that is what the experts say. I created a setup using Visual Studio 2005 but VS 2008 makes it easier and my application was a totally unmanaged application; all C++. My requirements were advanced so I had to modify the msi. For most simple applications VS will create a setup program for you probably without you doing anything except asking VS to do it.
