C# Visibility Options

Question

Hi there I have a windows where I would like to swap between (I think) grids. I have two buttons: btn_food & btn_drinks When I click the food-button I want to see the available food (in buttons). When I click the drinks-button I want to see the available drinks (in buttons). So I need to switch between two forms (grids?) in order to change the listing of the proper buttons. How can I do that? Also I found a lot of 'possible solutions' on the internet which were they all refer to the grid1.Visible property. Such property is not available when I try to add this. The property IsVisible is available but when I write the code the error tool of VS indicates that this property is read-only? I'm working with VS2010 in C# language. Any advice on this? Okay so I said that I am not familiar with WPF. Perhaps a WPF Grid would satisfy your requirements; I am not sure. Another possibility is a Panel. Also look at the StackPanel class.

I am more familiar with Windows Forms than other libraries but I think that a grid is not what you want. Perhaps a panel would be more approprite. Another possibility might be a UserControl. Please tell us if this is for Windows Forms or WPF or something else.

If this is WPF then you have to set the Visibility property of the Grid to one of these: System.Windows.Visibility.Visible System.Windows.Visibility.Hidden System.Windows.Visibility.Collapsed The difference between the last two is that space is still reserved in the layout for Hidden but not for Collapsed.

That indeed sounds the most logic but the property .Visible isn't available in my code... Do I have to add a specific using statement in the beginning of my code editor? Greetz!

grid1.Visible = true; or grid1.Visible = false;
