Can I pull information from Compact Server on handheld from my laptop

Hi

I'm trying to get some information for someone I know.

lets say you have a handheld and on the handheld you had SQL Server Compact that has some information in a table lets say i connect the handheld over a cradle or over USB to a laptop

is there a way to pull the information from that pocket PC over an application running on a laptop or pull it using SQL Server running on the laptop?
