Combobox not allow user to type

Question

How can I not allow a user to type in a combo box? I want to use the suggestappend mode but I want them to only be able to pick from the list not make up their own. Help is appreciated.

Set ComboBox.DropDownStyle to ComboBoxStyle.DropDownList.

If it is only about hooking the keys for user then you may just handle the key press event of the combo box like: private void cmbGroup_KeyPress(object sender KeyPressEventArgs e) { e.Handled = true; } However if you want to allow them to type with limited options you will have to go for writing the code in the key press event iteslf.
