Confusion regarding career goals

Question

Hi It have been diverse career of 8 years work. In content development for Java later in software development and production support for 4 odd years. Due to project closure I had to leave job. Thereafter I had in low profile job for sometime 2 years. I am good in Java but haven't much exposure in coding success because of the inconsistency in career. Now I am again preparing for job mostly Java development and production support I have a doubt thinking my further career approach due to following ideas: If I am starting the career from where left it would take much time to reach a good position. Whether I need to do break from further studies such as Executive MBA?But I had read your post: http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/forums/is-it-good-to-do-an-mba-after-mca Would Big Data and Hadoop be good options for me? Interview people will always ask for coding experience. You have to prepare will in advance beforeattending the interview if you dont have coding experience also.

Hi Probably you are true but due to short span of 4 years as a Java developer I had to work major on production support with occasional coding because project was in that stage. When I give interview people tell yes your concepts are too good but not have ample coding experience. That is the reason I am doubt as a final way to career as Java developer. Doing MBA is the good idea after 8 years of work experience to go into management side. But 8 years of technical experience will be wasted. So better go with Java developer in reputed MNC's.
