Hi, clueless novice asks for help. How to 10 records from table A turn into 10 columns headers into table B??? c#

If A and B are DataTables and A has a string column called "Headings", say, then this should work: for(int i = 0; i { string colName = A.Rows[i]["Headings"].ToString(); B.Columns.Add(colName); for(int i = 0; i { string colName = A.Rows[i]["Headings"].ToString(); B.Columns.Add(colName); } } PS To keep things tidy, can you delete your two duplicate posts please as no one can answer them anyway because they're 'Closed'.

Yes, I read about Anders Hejlsberg when I started learning C #. Otherwise, I am self-taught as before, only now I have the internet . Before there was no Internet and a lot of books, only Help. Delphi has the environment like VS in 1995. I want to learn thoroughly , and gave myself some things that I've done before. The problem I have is relation but for these things I use the designer in VS. I wonder how that code that he make changes or get out.

I don't know if you know but there's actually a relationship between TurboPascal, Delphi and C# in that Anders Hejlsberg is the chief architect of all three! As far as relations between DataTables are concerned, it's not too difficult to construct and navigate these in code. The DataRelation class has constructors which enable you to create a parent/child relationship between two tables. You can create as many of these as you like and then add them to the DataSet's Relations property which then enables you to navigate from one table to another. Yes, I used to use pure coding without any "extras", but it was a very, very long time ago, from 1985-86 until 1995-96 when job dragged me out of it. I used dBase, Clipper, Pascal, TurboPascal, Delphi. Your approach is excellent for me too, but I 've never used C or C++. C # learning the last three months. The problem for me is how to coding relations between tables. For example, relations between one table by two other tables. I know my questions sometimes seems extremely stupid and weird , but I suffer and am trying to learn the basics of C# and then....... sky isn't limit, :) :).

Sorry, I don't know the answer to that as I never use the Visual Database tools. I always hand-code everything as I like to have full control and to understand exactly what I'm doing.
