Create a webpage and on click of button run an application

Question

Hi I need to design a webpage where it will have many buttons/ Icons . On click of each Icon it should call another application i.e It should run the business models which is designed using alteryx. Since I am newbie in .Net Please let me know how to do the same? Regards Swetha

At the moment it is difficult to help you since you are not sure what you need help with. Look for articles and books about creating web sites; especially ASP .Net web sites and applications.

for creating webpage Start your visual studio create new web site which will add one Default.aspx and Default.aspx.cs page it's nothing but the Webpage now you can design the as per your wish for button drag the buttons from toolbox and double click on it will create click event here for displaying message you can do something like this. button1_Click(object senderEventArgs e) { Response.Write(Message); } you can create such events for each button and proceed to you work.

Hi Basically I am developing a dashboard where I have webpage as frontend. I need to design a webpage which will have a number of Icons. On click of each Icon I need to call respective Business Models. Business Models have been defined already using BI Tool i.e using Alteryx. So I have integrate the Models defined with .Net. I have no clue about applications running server side n all. As of now let me know how to create a webpage and have few buttons. On click of each display different messages. Regards Swetha

Typically what you are asking for is essentially not easy to do. I assume that it is a matter of using the appropriate terminology. In other words we probably need to help you to explain what you need to do. ASP executes in a server. Are the applications also to be executed in the server? Are the applications ASP applications? If so then it is not typical to use the terminology call another application so that is why I suspect you might be asking how to do something other than start an ASP application. Do the applications exist already? I hope you will answer these questions well enough that we can ask more questions for more clarification.
