First of all its not .net2008 and 2010. Its Visual studio 2008 and VS2010.VS2008 supports .net 3.5 framework and VS2010 supports .net framework 4.0. The IDE shell has been rewritten using WPF. VS 2010 supports DB2 Oracle along with SQL server but Vs2008 supports SQL server only. VS2010 also includes F#. Improved intellisense
