Dynamic Radio Button list in HTML table

Question

I have a pre-existing table on a web page and need to insert a dynamic radio button list into one cell of the table. This is for upselling hotel rooms and the list contents and order are data-driven. Selection of a radio button option must cause an autopostback. I've tried a number of approaches but each fails at the point where I try to get the value data after the postback fires.

What I did was duplicate the HTML that .NET generates from the ASP control. I'm obviously missing something on getting the value passed back in the postback event.

I resolved this by using dynamically-created discreet radio buttons belonging to the same group Image controls and literals for formatting all children of the placeholder panel. Works very nicely.

I changed over to using radio buttons and adding them individually all invoking the same event handler. That is working so now I just have to get the images in place and format it properly (maybe using another container type?). Any suggestions on getting this formatted as a vertical list are welcome. I saw a few references to putting the radio buttons in a list view and may try that.

I tried a radio button list. The issue I keep running into is the event handling. I set AutoPostPack to true and the postback happens but the event handler is never fired. I also can't see the selected value in the page load event on postback. Another issue with this approach is that I need to associate both a thumbnail and some text with each radio button. The text is obvious but not sure how to add the images so that they appear next to the radio buttons. Should I use individual radio buttons instead each with its own event handler and belonging to a common group?

I can't find any reference at Microsoft to RadioButtonListView. Can you point to a reference page on this? Google doesn't give much and intellisense doesn't recognize it.
