exchange programing: creating an appointment

hello all,

         I am trying to create an appointment in user's microsoft outlook. The link I followed for this process was,

It worked fine. But before I create an appointment for the user, I would like to make sure that the user has no appointment at that

particular time. Any idea how can I access to this information.
