File Name Changing

Question

Hi I am trying to Download a file from an external site i.e. Not the local server (e.g. file1.exe) Then to somehow make the client recieve the file but with the name changed (e.g. New Name.exe) Is this possible? If so how should i go about it? Many Thanks James

Hi I guess you know what you are doing and only need to know how to rename the file. Well for that purpose you can use the DownloadFile method of WebClient class. It take two parameters: 1) Path for web resource e.g http://www.myaddress.com/image.gif 2) FileName This second argument is actually what you want. Here you can pass the whatever string name you want for the file. Hope this helps. cheers.
