Fill Dataset value into DataGridView cell in ADO.NET

Question

Sir I am in the function of fetching dataset value into a cell in DataGridView in ADO.NET. I am getting a error in the function i wrote to fetch data. Here the screenshot:- dgvtxtAddProduct is the comboBox cell. If this is wrong how can i fetch data into DataGridView ComboBox Cell? Here the MS SQL Query:-

Finally my issue has been solved. I didn't added code but changed the DataTable replaced Dataset. Here the code:-

You have to add DataPropertyName which is primary key of your table dgvtxtAddProduct .DataPropertyName = PID;

Sorry I assumed that it is a dropdown list. Please add below code: dgvtxtAddProduct.DataSource = ds; dgvtxtAddProduct .DataPropertyName = PID; dgvtxtAddProduct .DisplayMember = PNAME; dgvtxtAddProduct .ValueMember = PID; As per your error please check/debug datatable columns names. Make sure that it has PID and PNAME columns are there.

Dear Manas The cell in DataGridView is a DataGridViewComboBoxColumn . It doesn't shows DataValueField and DataTextField in code intellisense.

If dgvtxtAddProduct is a dropdown control please see below code: dgvtxtAddProduct.Datasource = myFetchedDataTable; dgvtxtAddProduct.DataValueField = PName; dgvtxtAddProduct.DataTextField = PID; dgvtxtAddProduct.Databind(); Before you bind data set to combobox please debug what are columns present.
