Gridview Textbox Validation?..

Question

Dear All I had a requirement  I want to validate Gridview Textbox. I have A Grid and in that grid  I update the one base on the textbox value  Before i upDate  i wanna to check the texbox.. I f it null i wanna throw the script Message for that.. Guide Me !... Thanks in Advance. - Karthik .k

Hi karthik You can use the jquery to vaildation on textbox inside a gridview from client side. Follow the pattern below: ************************************** //ASPX //SCRIPT function ValidateAll() { var count = 0; $('.dummyClass').each(function (index item) { if ($(this).val() != ) { count = 1; } } 0); if (count == 0) alert(fill atleast one); else alert(you filled at least one); } ********************************************* HTH :) Cheers !!

It's all up to you. Replace that with your CSS selector of choice. I've just shown you a demo on how to do it. For the example I mentioned it will select all the text boxes. If you want it to check for a particular text box then set the text box id as selector like: $('input#myTextBoxTovalidate'). ... Hope you got the point now :)

@sunny In the Jquery  You Called the cssclass id You didnt call the Textbox id  Revert me ..
