Question

HI all I have a folder having resource specific dlls, lets say the application name is localization, the name of the dlls is Localization.cultuename.resources.dll Will i be able to access these resources using file based resource manager, i know we can access .resources files using file based resource manager but can we access resource only dlls also ? Please reply as soon as possible Thanking you all Siddhartha

I think you can consider satellite assemblies... 1. Create the resource dll and remember to copy to the bin directory. resgen [the_original_resource] yourfile.resources 2. then use the assembly linker to embed the resources into the dll al /embed:yourfile.resourcesyourfile.resources /out:yourfile.dll Then in C#: using System.Reflection; using System.Resources; .... class Test { Assembly satAsm = Assembly.Load(yourfile); ResourceManager resMan = new ResourceManager (yourfile satAsm); Console.WriteLine(resMan.GetString(key)); } Hope you find it useful.
