How host web api on dev server?

1 down votefavorite 1 I am creating a web api application which works fine on local dev server. Then right click on project and create the publish folder I host that publish folder on dev server but it gives me a error 404. What we want to host web api on dev server?

It's 404 error denoting resources not found check you are giving proper path for.the same an also check you are entering proper roots
