how to acces a biometric device from my windows application?

Question

I have created a windows application in c# . Now i have to upload the biometrics on my server from windows application. 

My question is that how can i access that biometric devices from my windows application.

The biometric device are actually not connected to my local system.It is on the client side.

Now how can i access that device from my windows application.

 

Any help will be  appreciated
