HOW TO CONVERT HTML CONTROLS TO ASP CONTROLS ?.

I want to know how to convert to Html controls to asp controls..can You any body give me a simple example...? i know if i mentioned Runat=server..it is treated as asp controls..i want to know if any other method is there ?. and what is the need to convertion ?. Thank you Pavan .

I'm not sure which reason forces you to convert the HTML control to Server Controls? i know if i mentioned Runat=server..it is treated as asp controls. Yes. You are partially right. But still you don't have any server side events for these controls. If you want server side events also go with pure Server controls. i want to know if any other method is there ?. No. Either you go with HTML control or Server controls! That's all! what is the need to convertion ?. If you want Server side events (which is executed in server) then you go with server side. If you need only client side events (call javascript during click event etc) then you can use HTML control . Hope this helps!
