How to create a custom template

Hi I am new to this sharepoint server My requirement is to create a custom template in it. If the user creating any sub application we have to allow them to select from any of our custom Templates Any one can suggest me How to create a custom template? Thanks for advance.

Hi Bechir I think its is a inbuilt feature in share point server 2007 but i want to create a custom tree view which will configure the root path of some folder after that my tree view need to featch all teh sub folders and files in to that tree view For example i am having a root folder in C:\Root once i configured this folder My custom tree view need to fetch all the sub folders stuffs in to that Is there any way to do this in Share point server 2007

Thanks for the Replay...... Actually i want to know is there any way to get the tree view inside the share point server because i am searching this for 4 days still i am not getting any idea on it. Can you please share some ideas with me Regards rajan
