How to debug exe at client place.

Question

When we got error at client place. we cant debug at that moment.

we need to create situation which occured at client place. then we debug our code & find.

but if some time we cant create situation because client cant explain everytime what happen actually when this error raised.

anyone please suggest.

Hey sorry for late reply. In those cases where we cannot debug what is happening at the client place the best option is to use the logging mechanism. Add tracing code to each of the conditional statements in your code and configure the application in such a level that you define the logging level. If you set the level to trace then your application should write all the events or conditions that are being executed in a detailed manner. If we configure our application only to log errors it should only logging when there is an error. Whenever there is some issue in the production set the configuration to trace each condition and get the log file from the production server to check what is happening. so you need add logging in very detailed manner so that without debugging you should be identify the issue.

First of all thnx to reply my question. ok let me give u actual scnerio my windows application is connecting quickbook company file. when we test we r testing in our sample based company file or created by us. not a actual file. so when i have installed setup in client place it works fine but after 2 3 days client got one object reference error. but i checked with my machine but it doesnt come. so finallly client had given me his file then i debug in my machine after words i understand bcz of data one condition getting wrong. but everytime client cant give his company file. bcz secure accounting data present. so if u give me any idea it will be very helpful. Thnx
