How to Detect Connected Device and its contents Automatically From ASP.Net

Question

Hi I will connect Device (like Pen Drive or DictaPhone) to USB Portmy requirement is ASP.Net application has to detect connected device and it has to extract all files from that device.if any one know this please send me reply...... Thanks & Regards Kiran Kumar

asp net is pulling data meaning it cant detect anything on client machine what you can do is have a small client that will work against a handler that you will build that handler will insert data to a db saying that the current ip has new devices update. you will need to ajax a command to another handler that will check against the db for ip based changes if detected then select the device you need and do the logic you are required to do. hope this helps you out dont forget to mark this as  Accepted Answer
