How to do this with Datatable

Question

Dear all I have 2 dropdown list for hours(0-23) & minutes(0-59). Now i ll take datatable with & i ll add 2 columns for that as follows. Datatable oDT=new Datatable(); oDT.columns.Add(Htypeof(int)); oDT.columns.Add(Mtypeof(int)); now by using for loops i need to add values to H column & M column & i ll need to bind those values to Dropdown list. bt When I am trying to add values to datatable i m getting error. for (int i=0;i oDT[M]=i; Error: Can't applying indexing with [] to an expression of type system.data.datatable. Can anybody resolve this error & let me know how to do this.

In that case you'll need to use string rather than int columns: Datatable oDT = new Datatable(); oDT.Columns.Add(H typeof(string)) ; for(int i = 0; i { DataRow row = oDT.NewRow(); row[H] = i.ToString(D2); oDT.Rows.Add(row); } DropDownList1.DataSource = oDT; DropDownList1.DataTextField = H; DropDownList1.DataBind(); Datatable oDT2 = new Datatable(); oDT2.Columns.Add(M typeof(string) ); for(int i = 0; i { DataRow row = oDT2.NewRow(); row[M] = i.ToString(D2); oDT2.Rows.Add(row); } DropDownList2.DataSource = oDT2; DropDownList2.DataTextField = M; DropDownList2.DataBind();

Just remembered a simpler way to do this which is to leave the code as you originally had it but to set the DDL's DataTextFormatString property to {0:D2}.

Hi Vulpes Thanks for your sharing but the issue is i need to save the values in to drop down as follows.. 0001020304......091011 How can i do this?
