How to find the difference between two dates

Question

Hello All I am developing an application for hotel and have two textboxes named dateofcheckin and dateofcheckout.what i want to do is that dateofcheckin must be small than dateofcheckout and if dateofcheckout is small than dateofcheckin then a messagebox must have to appear showing a perticular message please anybody send me the code its hurry for me. Hello Sir Thank You for your reply.But it could not work.what happens in the first textbox named txtcheckin i entered date 20/3/2007 it takes the date but when i press a key to enter date into second textbox named txtcheckout it displays the messagebox showing particular message.Sir can you explain me in detail the execution of the code you provide?Because i am doubtful that you just consider that only one textbox is present.Please sir send me the proper code. Hello Sir Thanks for your reply.But my problem is not solved.Actually i want to check that if date entered in the textbox1 is greater than the date entered in the textbox2.then a messagebox must have to appear showing a perticular message.The code you provide gives the no.of days between two dates.I do not need the difference between two dates.I just want to check that if first date is greater than second date then a messagebox must have to appear and sir i m working in a web application.So sir please send me the javascript code.because MessageBox.Show() is not working in web application.
