how to pass a varible to crystalreport from c# windows appli

Question

hi all i want to print a varible in crystal report. i stored my querty output in dataset and i am binding that dataset to crystalreportviewer. and i have also one textbox control in my form and i want to display the textbox value in crystalreport along with dataset. i can only displaying dataset in crystalreportviewer i want to display textbox value also in crystalreport can anyone please tell me how can i display the value? Hi Neha Sharma I tried to pass the values in constructor i sucessfully passed the values to 2nd form. but i dont know how to display those values in crystalreportviewer. because i am new to crystalreports. and even i tried parameter field(discreate values) concept but when the time of report loading the report had prompts the user to enter discreate values again. Hi Murali i got your pointbut i do not think to access or display values in crystal report without using database..but one option i must suggest you to create global variable then pass that value in to crystal report. Hope it ll help you.If yes mark it as answer else let me know further. Thanks.

Hi Neha Sharma Thanks for your quick reply I have no problem to display database values in the crystal report i did field exporter concept to display the values in the crystal report. actually my main concept is i have two windows forms. one form contains two datetimepicker controls(From DateTo Date) and a button(Show). and second form contains crystalreportviewer. when user selects two dates( fromdate and todate) and clicks the show button then i want to display the employee registration information in the second form who have registred in between two dates. i am sucessfully completed to display the query result. now the problem is i want to pass the two dates(fromdatetodate) to crystal report and i want to display the two dates in the report. for example when user selects 01-Apr-2013 and 01-May-2013 and click the show button then i want to display the result as 01-Apr-2013 to 01-May-2013 Employee registration: query Result Thanks Murali.

Hello Murali In crystal Report you can show your table's data as well text in a text box.When you done with the connection in Crystal report go on the filed explorer then select table values Now you can drag the selected value or filed in the crystal report page on the desired location(Group or section or header or footer) .
