How to press space bar key programatically

Hello members

i am working on a program in which i called a program exe file but the program which i called using system.diagnostic.start give output when a space bar is pressed i dont want any user input in middle i want automatically output from the program plz guide how i can press space bar programatically.

plz give a detailed answer i am struck very bad.

It depends on whetehr the other program is a console program. If it is a console program then you might be able to redirect standard input. If it is not a console program then there are alternatives but the relevant one depends on the type of control that the space character is going to.

OK to avoid the error change it to this: if(e.Result.Text==Time) { Process p = Process.Start(SomeProgram.exe); p.WaitForInputIdle(); SendKeys.Send( ); // send a space // any other statements involving 'p' }

Do you have that line within an 'if' 'while' etc. statement? Can you post the lines above the one giving the error.

As long as the other program's main window has the input focus - which it should have when you've just launched it - then you should be able to send it keystrokes using SendKeys: using System.Diagnostics; using System.Windows.Forms; // ... If you have source for Program.exe then you can skip the step where the program is having the statement that is waiting for the user's input. if you don't have that this could be possible through the automation scripts created using vbscript. I've never used them but heard of it. Thanks.
