How to Set up a website building page when working on live

Dear All I am working on a live asp.net web application  Now I have some changes came into my project so I want to redirect a user on a custom page showing that the website is under maintenance how to do that..

Hi Danish Habib  If you want to set web.config file Apps seating value use following code appSettings > add key =  AppKey  value =  AppValue  /> appSettings > Then in page load or button click write following code //Helps to open the Root level web.config file. Configuration webConfigApp = WebConfigurationManager . OpenWebConfiguration ( ~ ); //Modifying the AppKey from AppValue to AppValue1 webConfigApp.AppSettings.Settings [ AppKey ].Value = AppValue1 ; //Save the Modified settings of AppSettings. webConfigApp .Save();

Dear Manish thanks for your reply  Actually my question is that I have a basic admin of the web site who have the right to put a website on or off i want to give him a control over that using interface to put a website turn on or off by adding key in web.config but how to change the key value places on web.config ..

Hi Danish Habib just write Response.Redirect(default.aspx true); on page load of your page which is under construction. change default.aspx with your custom page name that will show message page is under construction .
