how work array length function

Question

int[ , , ,] a = new int [2,2,3,5]; Console.WriteLine("Length "+a.Length); how come  60 length?

Hi Ganesh :  Yes, Your array declaration int[,,,] indicates the 4 dimensional array(like jagged). So, it takes the permutaions as like below : 0-0-0-0 0-0-0-1 0-0-0-2 0-0-0-3 0-0-0-4 0-0-1-0 0-0-1-1  0-0-1-2 0-0-1-3 ...... .... Like below image...     Due to that reason, the total combinations will be as 60.   Check by debugging, You'll get clear idea. If it helps mark as answer. Thank you.

Hello Ganesh   You can define array lenght   Check this Code    int [] a =  new   int [60] { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 ,24, 25, 26 ,27 ,28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45,46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60 };               Console.WriteLine( "Length "  + a.Length);
