Write an interactive program in C language to create an application similar to “NOTEPAD”. Write a program mynotepad.c which reads words from any file having extension “.txt” and displays each word on a line by itself. A word is defined as any sequence of characters separated by a blank a tab or a newline. Note that this definition for a word considers punctuation as part of the word. This program should have features like cut copy paste write and search. The application should be designed user-friendly.

The task clearly states ' Write an interactive ...' So what have you written where are you stuck? Note that the task also states 'in C language'. So be careful in which language you write; you've posted the question in the C# language section. Some pointers fread() and fwrite() for reading and writing files regular expressions for the splitting on word boundaries as well as for the search malloc() realloc() and free() for memory management. For the user interface look at ncurses or how it's implemented in something like 'vi'. 'vi' is written in C and the sourcecode for is available on the web; you can get ideas from it.
